I'm currently applying to doctorate programs in bioengineering and wanted to see if anyone here knew of any specific fellowships that would be interested in my research in biomechanics & cell/tissue engineering or have any advice. THANKS!

Hi, just joined tribe, happy to see other women scientists here!

Are you still looking for PhD positions? Where in the world are you / will you be? Consider checking out Scandinavian universities. I did my doctorate at Uppsala University in Sweden, where all graduate students (Swedish or otherwise) are paid a good salary by the government, and the science programs are all run in English. Uppsala & Stockholm have just about the highest density of biotech companies and institutes in the world, so although the location may seem isolated, as far as science goes, it's an outstanding place to be, as well an incredibly beautiful. Also the region of southern Sweden and northern Denmark (both sides of the new Oresund bridge) are billing themselves as a new world class biotech region.
