I just found out about this organization, PLoS - The Public Library of Science. The Public Library of Science was founded on the the goal of making scientific research and literature more readily available to the public. Please share the info with all your friends that may want to publish and/or read scientific and medical articles.

    This is an excellent site Amy. Thank you for letting us know about it. Does anyone know how I can get access to biosis on line? Since I'm not currently enrolled at the university, I can't get access through them and I'm hours away from libraries with licensing agreements.

      you might try posting on craigslist in one of the forums like platonic friends. i have found that people have access through work and are willing to share the info.
