Hi...I am trying to build a ballistics pendulum for my Physics project. I've got some ideas, but would like any input on the design aspects. I'd like for the device to actually look somewhat professional. The projectile launcher that I'm using is on Pasco.com and the projectile itself is a hard plastic ball about 1m in size.
Thanks for your time.

Tue, March 9, 2004 - 10:10 AM1m is an awfully large projectile. :-) If you can point others towards the specific page (it's hard to find from the homepage), maybe the folks in the DIY (Do It Yourself) or the Home Repair and Improvement tribes can lend some suggestions your way. -

Wed, March 10, 2004 - 11:47 AMOpps typo the projectile is not really that big...it's the size of a gumball. Link for the projectile launcher and ballistics pendulum is
store.pasco.com/pascostore/showdetl.cfm
I did find directions on how to build a ballistics pendulum from a cardboard box. It looks ghetto. I need something that my professor isn't going to look at and say well no honors credit for you. -
