Do you know how to burn a dvd into a file that can be read on a computer? I travel a lot and I'd like to get my pilates DVD on my computer.
Thanks!

Re: burning DVD questions
Wed, March 30, 2005 - 4:39 PMdo a search for "magic DVD ripper". My friend seems to have had good luck with it.
You will need a DVD drive for your laptop (but if you've already got one, you should be able to play DVD's directly). If you're laptop doesn't have one, but your reguar PC does, you can rip it on the PC, then transfer it to your laptop. You can also get a USB External one for around $100 or less.

Re: burning DVD questions
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 10:47 PMThe best format (ie. most compresed) to convert to is AVI using the DivX codec. You can do it using SimpleDivx as described in
www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/49/59/.
I found that guide using www.videohelp.com which has lots of how-to guides on anything digital video related (ripping, backup, conversion etc).
