MPH

Okay, okay, so I'm completely unable to settle in on any particular career goal right now. I've applied to the MSN program at SFSU, but I'm having a hard time maintaining my excitement for nursing. I don't want to take care of people all day and telling people that you're a nurse doesn't necessarily command the kind of respect that I like. But of course, nursing is definitely a huge field with lots of opportunities and flexibility.

If I do get accepted, I'll start in May and have looked at focusing on a public health emphasis. And if I don't get accepted, I may just refocus my energies for next year and try to get into an MPH program.

So here's my question: What kind of job could I try to get into for a year to improve my public health cred and help me get into an MPH program? I am interested in volunteering for a needle exchange program, but I'll have to wait until this semester is over because my plate is pretty full right now.

Thanks for any help!
