Hey all - I'm wondering if anyone knows of a blog written by a graduate student, particularly one in a biological science.

    Hi Debra,

    Not quite what you are looking for... I'm doing a PhD in Mathematics & Statistics and started blogging when the new profiles came in. I haven't blogged about my studies / writing though. I tend to use it as a little break when I need it.

    Are you studying? Are you blogging? I wish I'd thought of it when I started my PhD.

    Oh - I just found this site: phdweblogs.net/.

      Generally I'm looking for blogs about people's personal experiences of graduate school. But as I get more into it, I'm becoming more interested in reading research blogs.

      I am blogging - it's a bit more personal than research oriented. I just started a master's program in conservation biology. My blog is www.biologicaldiversity.blogspot.com

        Wow - your blog is cool. But that big brown bat is sooo tiny. Where I am living at the moment, there is a colony of fruit bats that hang in the swamplands across the road. Compared to your bat, they are enormous - like 2 feet wingspans. They spin me out as there aint no bats where I come from.

        I got quite excited about blogging (again), but I want something that I can use for more of a personal diary - or at least that I can backup to my hard drive. So, last night I hunted far and wide, found THINGAMABLOGGER and started a personal journal with it. First entry - list of things to do to finish thesis. I'm not sure that I'm ready to go public with it though - my boss might see it and realise that when I say I'm nearly finished I mean OH MY GOD I'VE GOT SO MUCH WORK TO DO YET!!!

          Yes - I loved the picture of the koala you had on your tribe profile. And what you are talking about for your personal diary is exactly what I'm looking for.
